Always Up-to-Date Municipal Codes on Paper, the Web and CD

Codification of ordinances provides a logically organized code of law for a more efficient administration of governmental affairs and ease of use by constituents. Placing the municipal code on the Internet means that government employees and citizens will have access to the latest information available.

Citycode will develop a comprehensive code for your city or county, including organization and modernization of existing ordinances and resolutions. Citycode’s legal staff will review existing ordinances and resolutions for conflicts with state and federal laws, and suggest changes where appropriate.

Upon adoption of the code by the governing body, Citycode will provide copies of the code to the municipality in print and on CD. In addition, Citycode will publish the municipal code online at www.citycode.net or www.countycode.net.

Legal Review of Subsequent Ordinances for Proper Code Integration

After your municipal code is published, Citycode, LLC will review your city's new proposed ordinances to ensure proper code integration. We will verify that a new ordinance properly amends your existing code or appropriately creates a new section, article or chapter of your existing code. In addition, we will check for conflicts with state and federal law as well as internal conflicts with existing code sections. Citycode, LLC will also provide sample ordinances upon request.

Immediate Updates

As a governing body makes changes from time to time to its municipal code, Citycode will immediately make updates to the code online. The municipal clerk simply emails or faxes the newly published ordinance or resolution to Citycode and the online code will be immediately updated - typically within 48 hours. Updates for the printed edition will be prepared and mailed to the municipality at regular intervals.
