The unofficial tally Friday in the mail ballot election was: Yes 52; No 105. Canvassing of election returns will take place at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The city golf course has proved a costly operation, affecting city expenditures. None of the tax hike requested would have gone to the golf course, Brace said.
