Ottawa votes to extend city manager’s contract

“I think the consensus of the commission was that you were very fortunate to have a city manager of Richard’s caliber, someone who’s not only committed to the organization, but to the greater community that the city serves,” Finch said. “There’s a commitment to the citizens and to ensuring that they have good interactions and positive interactions with the city. Richard also has evidenced a commitment to other community organizations and has served as a mentor to others in the community who are in leadership roles and those who want to obtain leadership roles.”
