Franklin County officials are optimistic they will be able to announce the next county administrator in the coming days.
Derek Brown, interim county administrator and county counselor, said an offer has been made to one of the finalists who interviewed a couple of weeks ago.
“He has been down a couple of times since his interview,” Brown said. “We are waiting. We gave him a deadline of this week. It is a major life decision for anyone. I am hoping to know something in the next 24 hours.”
Brown said the top candidate shined bright during the interview process.
