Everything is in line for the county-run EMS service.
“We’ve got licensing from the state, a medical director and we are moving forward,” said Corey Scott, the recently hired director of Atchison County EMS Ambulance.
Scott recently acquired the official license and signed agreements for medical director and chief of staff for the forthcoming county-run ambulance service.
Scott announced that Dr. Steven Rovenstine, emergency medical director at Atchison Hospital, will serve as the medical director. Rovenstine will receive a $5,000 compensation for one year of service.
Dr. McGarrett Groth, will serve as chief of staff and will over-sign in support of protocol of the ambulance service, Scott said.
