If a program recommended by Hutchinson Housing Commission on Wednesday passes City Council approval, residents of three neighborhoods may qualify for interest-free loans for certain home improvement projects.
If approved by City Council on Jan. 17, the city would pay the interest up to $2,500 on loans up to $15,000 for qualifying projects in the College Grove and Southwest Bricktown neighborhoods and Houston Whiteside Historic District. There would be no income restrictions, and both rental and owner-occupied houses qualify.
