Voters taking selfies (legally) in Saline County

Taking a selfie after voting is growing in popularity in Saline County — and people are doing it legally.
While it’s not legal to post a photo of your actual ballot, you can snap a photo of yourself after you vote, and employees of the Saline County Clerk’s Office have gotten into the spirit.
The employees have created a “Selfie Station” outside Room 215 of the City-County Building, complete with American and Kansas flags and a sign proclaiming “I voted. Have you?”

It’s getting a considerable amount of use.
“I have seen some of them on Facebook,” said Don Merriman, Saline County clerk and election officer. “I think it was a great idea to put the selfie poster out there.”
