The City of Pittsburg is looking to help businesses which are not too small, but not too big.
Pittsburg is bringing back the Kansas Economic Gardening Network program to help “second-stage businesses” expand their reach.
“There is a lot of focus on helping startups, there is a lot of focus on helping large employers,” Pittsburg Economic Development DirectorBlake Benson said. “Those groups are extremely valuable, but we want to make sure there is something for the companies in between.”
The companies who meet the criteria will have one-on-one expertise from specialists representing different aspects of business. The program is through Network Kansas and allows the city and state to share the $4,000 burden for each company.
