Alma regroups after massive fire

The town of Alma is cleaning up after Tuesday night’s wildfire that burned 600 acres.

Emergency crews from across northeast Kansas spent at least eight hours putting out Tuesday night’s fire, that burnt down an outbuilding and the Holy Family Religious Education Building that belonged to the Holy Family Catholic Church.

“No hope for saving the building,” said Dan Deiter, Alma City Councilmen.
