Heading west past the giant wind turbines on both sides of U.S. 56, it’s easy to spot the large gray barn.
Just inside this tidy town, the barnyard is filled with old gas station signs and a rusted school bus out front. Travelers coming into Montezuma might be curious about the place.
While it might sound like an unsightly junkyard, it’s far from it. The building blends into the neat landscape of this community of about 966 people, including many Holdeman and German Mennonites.
