The commission got a first look at a proposed new county logo, but took no action, instead deciding to wait a week or two to get some public input.
“I’ve looked forward to this for 3 ½ years,” Commission Chairman Dan Deming said. “We have three of four different logos out there that present a weird and mixed image for the county… I think this is a very good plan.”
Prompted by the need to put a logo on the sign outside the county annex under construction, County Administrator Gary Meagher formed a logo committee from among county employees to work on the project.
“Everyone thought we wanted something new and fresh, and we wanted something that represented the county well,” Meagher said.
