Much of Tuesday’s regular city council meeting discussion focused on ways to lure more business to the community.
Mayor Buddy Bualle said getting Arma a grocery story and pharmacy are among the goals the council set for 2016. Among the potential options discussed was the possibility of having the city’s existing Dollar General store expand to carry more grocery items.
“If we could be a face-to-face meeting with the regional manager that would be wonderful,” Bualle said.
Councilman Scott Popejoy said he understands the chain of dollar stores has a version that of their retail locations that offers more market items.
