In the fast-paced world of rapid change and future uncertainty, El Dorado’s Historic District is a tangible link with the past… a past holding a story of confidence and optimism, risk and reward.
The buildings lining Main Street give the community a sense of identity, stability and orientation.
We who live in El Dorado enjoy and value our Historic Downtown because it reveals to us our special character,” said Emily Connell, El Dorado Main Street director. “The buildings downtown remind us our city was built with a sense of pride and commitment.”
Connell said the downtown is the city center for financial services, specialty retail, restaurants, entertainment, culture, churches, health and wellness providers, civic and judicial institutions.
