Lindsborg forgives $114,376 in debt owed by Bethany

The Lindsborg City Council has approved three measures to support Bethany College, including forgiving $114,346 that the college owed the city.

Bethany Interim President Robert Vogel said the $114,346 owed the city was from electrical work eight years ago. The college had paying about $16,000 a year toward the debt, he said. He said city leaders brought up the possibility of scholarships and that during conversations about those the other issues came up.

“A strong relationship between Bethany and Lindsborg is vital to our community,” Vogel said.
