The Pratt City offices could be heading back to some familiar stomping grounds in the future.
In a cost saving move, the city offices may be moving back to the Pratt Municipal Building, a location they occupied years ago before they moved out to find more space.
The move is part of long term plans for the city so don’t look for moving trucks in front of the city offices on South Main soon. The move is on the back burner, said City Manager Dave Howard.
The overhead costs to operate the Municipal Building are fairly fixed so the city has to pay to keep the building in operation whether it is in use or not.
“It’s under-used for the expense it costs to keep it operating,” Howard said.
