Southeast school district is giving property to one city and receiving a building from another city.
At a special meeting called by the school board Monday night, members approved the legal description to give property to the city of McCune. The board also agreed to move forward with potentially accepting a building at 202 W. Pine Street from the city of Cherokee.
“It is something that we have that we don’t need,” said Cherokee Mayor Dale Thompson, who said the building was previously a church, donated before his tenure 11 years ago.
