Seaport Airlines ends airline service to the Great Bend and Salina airports. Seaport is also ending service to five California cities.
The Portland, Oregon based carrier cites a pilot shortage, its inability to recruit and retain enough pilots as the reason for ending service.
Salina Airport Executive Director Tim Rogers says Seaport’s service poor service, of late, including cancelled flights has led to fewer passengers. Great Bend Airport Director Martin Miller says he’s not surprised to see Seaport Airlines pull out saying their service has declined over the last nine months.
