“Clearwater is a small hometown community,” said Tammy Layton, who has mixed feelings about the store closing. “Everybody likes local, and everybody tends to like the people who have been here forever.”
Bill Morris said he uses the store, and wouldn’t be sad to see it close. “I used it because it was here, but you know, it won’t bother me if it closes,” he said.
Mayor Burt Ussery said 80% of people who live in Clearwater started using the store’s pharmacy after it bought out a local pharmacy.
Now the city says people will have to go elsewhere for their prescriptions.
