Johnson County is kicking off a property-imaging project that aims to take street-level photos of every property in the county.
The Johnson County Appraiser’s Office has contracted with Tyler Technologies, Inc. to take high-resolution street-level photos of the exterior of every property in the county. The county uses these photos to create land record information used in the appraisal process.
“Correct up-to-date property information is crucial to ensuring fair and equitable property values as well as making the appraisal process more efficient,” said Paul Welcome, Johnson County appraiser, in a county news release last week.
