Junction City’s Cell Phone Ordinance to be Strictly Enforced in 2016

The Junction City Police Department will put an emphasis on enforcing the ordinance banning talking on a cell phone while driving in 2016.

The ordinance was approved by the City Commission in June of Screen-Shot-2015-12-30-at-12.47.33-PM.png2014, but wasn’t enforced until October of 2014.

“You can have hands free-calling, but if you’ve got the cell phone up to your ear, everybody driving down the street can see that, officers can see that, and we’re going to pull you over and write you a ticket,” said Police Captain Dan Breci.
