The city of Edgerton’s new logo will soon be placed on the water tower on Edgerton Road.
The city council approved the $6,700 expenditure on Oct. 11.
The logo will be placed as part of the tower’s regular maintenance schedule.
It is part of a marketing plan intended to position Edgerton for residential and commercial growth as a result of the intermodal logistics park, which is scheduled to open in late 2013.
Candid Marketing is the Lee’s Summit firm that was hired for $39,000 last year to design a logo and tagline to improve Edgerton’s professional image and to draw residential and commercial growth.
