Tom Vlach estimates Shawnee County would save $102,000 to $132,000 by consolidating management positions between the county’s solid waste and public works departments.
County commissioners plan Thursday to consider authorizing Vlach, the public works director and interim solid waste department director, to make those moves, which would include eliminating one current solid waste department employee’s job.
