They’re graduating with a mountain of debt into one of the worst legal job markets in decades. NPR News reports many new law school graduates are finding that they can’t break into the big-city law firms where they might have hoped to work, making rural opportunities more attractive.
Law schools at the University of Iowa, Drake University and Creighton University are trying to encourage this shift to the more plentiful rural opportunities by placing students in internships in rural communities.
