Sedgwick County residents can get a coupon for a free trash dump up to $30 or 1,000 pounds starting Monday.
The aim is to help county residents dispose of bulky waste like furniture, though the county also urges recycling for those items. Tires, items with Freon and hazardous materials are not allowed.
Residents must be able to haul the trash. Businesses are not eligible for the coupons. Loads can exceed the $30 or 1,000-pound limit, but residents will have to pay for the excess.
