Need The Wichita Police? There’s An App For That

The Wichita Police Department now has an app for smartphones (well, at least for Android and iPhone – - no Windows Phone app yet):

The agency said Wednesday the new smart phone app, My Police Department, is now available for download.

Officer Jerod Metcalf said the technology is another tool for the department to interact with the public.

The app lets citizens submit tips anonymously, find a substation, look up department contacts and connect with social media. Users may also connect with departments around the country.

The app can be downloaded from the Android or iPhone app markets.

Other Kansas police departments could utilize the app as well by going to the developer’s website…
