To celebrate Kansas’ 150 years of statehood, the Kansas Humanities Council invited communities to create short historical films about their corner of Kansas. One of films, hosted on the KHC’s website, is about the electrification of Baldwin City.
The film is entitled “Bauer, Baker, and Baldwin City: Electrifying a Small Town’s Identity.” Viewers can see how Professor William Bauer did just that when he electrified Baker University and Baldwin City in 1907.
